The final field of 24 runners will be confirmed on Saturday, November 1st, but the early favourites are already heating up the competition:
Al Riffa (Trainer: Joseph O’Brien) – The Irish star and current favourite after winning the Irish St Leger. Carrying the top weight of 59 kg, he’s expected to dominate.
Buckaroo (Trainer: Chris Waller) – Strong, consistent, and proven on Australian tracks — a serious threat for the Cup.
Half Yours – A dark horse with impressive stamina; many tipsters believe he could surprise over 3200 m.
Vauban (Trainers: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott) – An international contender returning for redemption after a solid 2024 season.
The field will include horses from Ireland, the UK, France, Japan, and the US — making this one of the most global editions yet.
